Heather Brahan was approved by the Board of Directors as a new Assistant Principal at Truman High School.

Brahan replaces Dawn Martesi, who was promoted to principal of Mill Creek Elementary School.

Brahan brings a wealth of experience to her position and the Bristol Township School District.  She began her career as a special education teacher before moving into administration.   Her first positions in school leadership were as a Special Education Director for the Liguori Academy and as a Compliance Coordinator for the Olney Charter School.  Brahan then returned to the School District of Philadelphia, where she once was a teacher, as a Regional Case Manager and was ultimately promoted to Director of Special Education.  Before joining Bristol Township, Brahan was an administrator for the Morrisville School District.

Brahan has been a leader in professional development and a positive shaper of school culture and climate during her many years in education.  She has extensive experience in school-based strategic planning, curriculum design and development and effective instructional practices.

Brahan has both a Bachelor’s of Arts in Elementary and Special Education and a Masters of Education from Holy Family University.

“We are excited to welcome Heather to Truman High School,” Principal Jon Craig stated.  “We think she will be an excellent addition to our administrative team and become an important part of our school community."
