On Thursday, May 4, Bristol Township School District's middle school baseball teams faced off on the beautiful field at the Trenton Thunder Ballpark!

After a hard-fought game, Armstrong earned a 10-4 victory against their middle school rivals and future high school compatriots.

With Franklin as the visitor in this year's game, they got off to a quick start with their first two batters scoring in the first inning. It took until the third inning for Armstrong to score their first runs, where they picked up six on a two-out rally. Armstrong tacked on another four runs in the fifth and sixth innings. Franklin battled back in the seventh inning, scoring two runs.

Both teams had all twelve of their players in the starting batting lineup and put a new pitcher on the mound each inning, which gave a total of 13 players an opportunity to throw in front of their largest crowd this season. It was a great team effort for both schools with Franklin's four runs coming from four different players and Armstrong's ten runs coming from eight players.

Afterward, both teams met up to talk with Truman Baseball Coach, Brian Sinkiewicz and take a group picture on the infield. The middle school game was followed by the Truman Tigers who took on Neshaminy HS under the lights.

"It was a wonderful afternoon to see our talented middle school baseball players compete at this facility," Athletic Director Tim Monaghan stated.  "We look forward to them playing together and representing Truman High School in future years."
