The Bristol Township School District’s Foundation for Educational Excellence recently announced the recipients of $10,765 in funding for the 2025 grant cycle. This year, there were 26 grant proposals fulfilled across all six district schools. One highlight this year is that every school now has a working TV Studio to deliver news and announcements to their building and communities. Additionally, grants were awarded for programs extending the classroom curriculum to provide opportunities for students to study the areas of embryology through hatching chickens, gardening in the classroom with hydroponics, and supporting Truman High School’s Just One Life initiative to raise awareness of distracted driving and the dangers of driving under the influence. ABOUT THE BTSD EDUCATION FOUNDATION
The BTSD Foundation for Educational Excellence is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization established in 1985 as a joint venture between the teachers of Bristol Township and the school district. Since its inception 40 years ago, the Foundation has funded around $500,000 worth of unique projects planned and implemented by employees of the Bristol Township School District. The Foundation is run entirely by volunteers and its funding comes mainly from payroll contributions. Additionally, the organization plans to rejoin the EITC program in Pennsylvania which allows businesses to receive tax credit for donations made.
