On September 30, longtime Brookwood educator Erin Krusen will move into the role of Anti-Bullying/School Climate Specialist for Brookwood Elementary School.
Krusen replaces Amanda Guida, who is moving to an administrative position in another district. Guida was the first Anti-Bullying Specialist at Brookwood, starting in the role when the grant-funded position was initially brought into the district last year.
Krusen has been with the Bristol Township School District since 2007 as an elementary teacher. She has been very involved with Brookwood's system of supports, and in fostering an inclusive and nurturing environment that promotes student growth and achievement. She has served as a SWPBIS Team Member, Tiger Team Advisor, Student Council Advisor and as a Mentor Teacher. Outside of the school, Krusen is very involved in coaching youth sports.
Krusen's main role as the Anti-Bullying/School Culture Specialist is to lead the investigation of any allegations of harassment, intimidation, and bullying; and to act as the primary school staff member responsible for preventing, identifying, and addressing incidents of harassment, intimidation, and bullying in the school.
She will also be responsible for working with the entire school community to build a safe, positive and harmonious school culture.
“We are excited to welcome Erin into this position," BTSD Chief Academic Officer Amy Coleman stated. "She has always been a highly regarded educator, and we think she will do great things for the students and school culture of Brookwood in her new role."
